Etchd.ai is an AI-powered study material generator that creates educational content based on user-provided context.
The Service is accessible only within the mobile application.

User authentication is managed via Firebase. Login methods:
- Email & password
- Google Sign-In
- Apple Sign-In

4. AI Processing & Third-Party Data Sharing
Etchd.ai uses AI services provided by Anthropic (Claude AI) to power its core features. Before any data is sent to Anthropic, the app requests your explicit consent via an in-app disclosure.
A. What Data Is Sent
The following user-provided content may be transmitted to Anthropic for processing:
- Text, URLs, and file content (PDFs, images, audio) submitted for study material generation
- Flashcard, quiz, and note content used as context for the AI Tutor Chat
- Chat messages sent to the AI Tutor
B. Who Data Is Sent To
Content is sent exclusively to Anthropic, PBC (San Francisco, CA, USA) via their secure API. No other third-party AI providers receive your data.
C. How Data Is Protected
- All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
- No personally identifiable information (name, email, user ID) is included in AI requests
- Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models (per their data usage policy)
- Content is processed in real-time and is not stored by Anthropic beyond the API request lifecycle
D. User Consent
The app displays a one-time consent disclosure before your first use of any AI-powered feature (generation, AI Tutor Chat, or AI editing). You must acknowledge this disclosure before any content is sent to Anthropic. Your consent preference is stored in your account profile.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for advertising or marketing purposes.
5. Subscription & Payments
All subscriptions are processed exclusively through:
- Apple App Store
- Google Play Store
We do not:
- Process payments directly
- Store credit card information
- Manage billing manually
Subscription management, billing, renewal, and refunds are handled by the respective app store according to their policies.
6. Legal Basis (GDPR & KVKK)
We process personal data based on:
- Contractual necessity
